Gayatri moved to Atlanta in 2003 and since then has been performing at various prestigious organizations like IACA (Indian American Cultural Association), Hindu Temple of Atlanta, Zee Heritage India Festival, Star Plus India Mela, every year during the Diwali celebration at Shree Shakti Mandir, Annual Dance Recitals choreographed and conducted by Gayatri herself and also as a guest performer at Fitchburg Community Center, Madison.
She was invited by the Indian Students Association to present a solo recital and a dance ballet at Mississippi State University, 2008.
Gayatri also represented India through her performance during Asian Cultural Experience Dance Festival, 2009 held at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center along with her senior students. Besides, she regularly performs and choreographs dances for Greater Atlanta Tamil Sangam (GATS).
